Humidity and temperature sensors (psychrometer) DVT-013 is a special device designed to measure air temperature and humidity.
The psychrometric measurement of humidity is based on the principle of determining the relative humidity by two thermometers “dry” and “wet”. "Dry" is an ordinary thermometer that measures air temperature, "wet" is a temperature sensor (thermometer) surrounded by a damp cloth. The intensity of evaporation from the surface of a wet bulb depends on the humidity of the air. The drier the air, the more intensively the moisture evaporates. During evaporation, energy is taken from the thermometer and its temperature drops. The relative humidity of the air can be determined from the temperature of the dry bulb and the temperature difference between the dry bulb and the wet bulb.
However, the temperature difference will depend not only on the relative humidity of the air, but also on the speed of air movement.
The capacitive method for measuring the relative humidity of air is based on the change in the dielectric constant of the material as a result of the penetration of moisture from the ambient air into it. The material is placed between two electrodes, which are the plates of the capacitor, the capacity of which thus changes depending on the humidity of the ambient air.
Humidity and temperature sensors (psychrometer) DVT-013 is made up of two temperature sensors, which are absolutely independent from each other. Moisture calculations are performed using a psychrometric table.
The psychrometric method for measuring humidity is based on the use of the measured values of two temperature sensors (one of which is wet and the other dry) to calculate the humidity from a psychrometric table.
It is recommended to install psychrometric sensors in a room where the air flow velocity is about 2 m / s. The scope of delivery does not include a tray for a wet sensor and a wick.
