 temperature sensor with a unified output signal TSPU-002 is designed to measure, convert the measured value into a signal of 4..20mA, 0..10V or RS-485... TSPU-002 are used to measure the temperature of the environment, liquid, gaseous and bulk media in various industries.

The operation of the temperature sensor with a unified output signal TSPU-002 (4-20mA, 0..10V) is based on the property of copper (platinum) to change the electrical resistance depending on the temperature of the medium. The conversion block converts the resistance value into a current signal (voltage signal) proportional to the temperature value. The change in the current (voltage) strength is recorded by a secondary device, in the measuring circuit of which the PTU is included.

The design TSPU-002 is one-piece.

Thermal resistances differ in the material of the sensitive element: TSM - copper, TSP - platinum. In turn, TCM is divided into 50M and 100M, and TSP into 100P, Pt100. TSM differs from TSP only in the range of measured temperatures: TSM (-50..+180°C), and TSP (-50..+500°C).

The 4-20mA (or 0-20mA) output provides increased immunity to electrical noise and has low signal loss over very long cables, and is capable of lossless transmission over hundreds and hundreds of meters. As an added bonus, the 4-20mA signal provides error condition detection because the signal, even at its lowest setting, is still active. That is, in the extreme position “zero”, the sensor still produces a 4mA signal, and if the value ever goes to 0mA, then something is clearly wrong with the device. This cannot be said for sensors with a 0-10V output, since a "zero" volts value can mean both a zero position and that your sensor has simply stopped functioning.

Temperature sensors with unified output signal TSPU-002:

  • conversion of the resistance value into a current signal (4..20mA) or into a voltage signal (0..10V) proportional to the temperature value;
  • measurement and transmission of the measured temperature value via the RS-485 interface (protocol ModBus RTU).

Features of TSPU-002 sensors:

  • the minimum length of the mounting part is 60mm;
  • current consumption, no more than - 40mA;
  • DC supply voltage - (20..28) V;
  • protective reinforcement material - 12X18H10T;
  • connection of the converter with the measuring equipment - galvanic;
  • enclosure protection degree - IP65.
